- shortness of breath
People may have COVID-19 for 1 to 14 days before developing any symptoms. Approximately 80% of people with COVID-19 recover without needing special treatment.
COVID-19 can pose serious complications, such as pneumonia in both lungs, multi-organ failure and in some cases death. People with medical conditions and the elderly may be more susceptible to becoming very sick.
